Julian of Pannonia, usurper, 284-285. Antoninianus (Silvered bronze, 22 mm, 3.90 g, 12 h), Siscia, December 284. IMP C M AVR IVLIANVS P F AVG Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Julian to right. Rev. PANNONIAE AVG / S / XXIΓ The two Pannoniae standing facing with outstretched right hands, the one on left looking left, the one on right looking right and holding a signum with her left hand. Cohen 5 corr. (holding standard not trophy). RIC 4. Venèra 4399. Very rare. A splendid example with light silvering and unusually attractive surfaces. Extremely fine.
